update

Life around our house is so exciting! We are settled and enjoying having my parents in for the holiday weekend. It is hard to believe we have been in our house for a month! Where does the time go? We haven't found our routine yet but the possibilities are endless. From the zoo, nature center, YMCA, parks or just staying home in our basement wonderland, we are having a blast. After days of errands and lots of activities Matthew asked to stay home and play in the basement and on a rainy Thursday, we did just that. We all love the basement!

Just a few of my favorite moments from this week...

Matthew: "Mommy you are bigger. You are bigger than Clifford." (uh, the Big Red Dog, this is not a good thing, haha!)
Matthew: "Mommy, I'm just listening to my music." (um, are you 15 already? good thing he was talking about a classical song from Little Einsteins."
Matthew: "He's my boy." when he saw his neighbor friend outside.
Having a 3 year old is so entertaining! I never know what is going to come out of his mouth!

One of Mackenzie's favorite books right now is Grandma and Me. It is a great little book with flaps that she loves to open. One of the flaps reveals cookies in an oven. After we read the book she opened it up again, found the cookie page, pointed to the cookies and then pointed to her mouth, to the cookies to her mouth, to the cookies to her mouth. It was hilarious! She is clearly figuring out how to communicate and we are loving it.

That is all I can remember at the moment. Time for bed!
