Thanksgiving Weekend

It was a sad morning for us all as we took Aaron back to the airport for his final 3 weeks of training in Alabama. We had an amazing weekend and went from turkey to Christmas time in a matter of hours (there is a Festival of Lights in Old Market on Thanksgiving). Here are a few pictures of our family time. There are so many fun things we've done over the last month I need to catch up on... We've traveled a lot to help the time Aaron is away pass by quickly. Maybe this week.... (don't hold your breath, haha!)

making cherry pie with daddy (continuing the Jackson tradition)

Aaron carving our turkey

Mackenzie snuggling with daddy and suffering from a tummy ache

Aaron and Matt at the Festival of Lights in Old Market, Omaha

All of us right after the lights went on

Mom and Mackenzie swinging in the backyard

crazy daddy on the roof putting up Christmas lights

our "leftovers" sandwich, complete with a moist maker (Friends anyone?)

the kids with our real tree squeezed between them

all ready for Christmas

From someone who has had a real tree every year of her life, we throw a sheet over the top of the Yukon and rope it down to avoid the needles in the car (also, we have vaulted celings so my 14' tree just doesn't fit in the car). Merry Christmas!
